2010年7月12日 · The main difference between Novolog & Apidra is the onset and duration. Apidra has a quicker onset and it doesn't last as long. People will say that one should take their bolus 15mins before eating. This is ok, but with novolog it won't do much in 15mins whereas Apidra will.

2010年1月26日 · I've found after a few fat-heavy meals that the short tail with Apidra leads to too much of a high which weren't a problem with the NovoRapid. Haha. Oh, my head! I guess I could try using Lantus for basal, Apidra for regular meals, and NovoRapid for correction boluses AND high-fat meals, but that just seems way too complicated.

I am pretty sure that the Apidra is the problem as the company suggested that it has had similar complaints from other Apidra users. it does not not sound as though they have run a thorough test with apidra in their pump however.

I think it balanced with my food digestion more accurately and it also served to reduce lows quicker. I was having a tail on Humalog that was giving me some late lows that I am not experiencing with Apidra.

2009年4月20日 · I found Apidra, Novolog, and Humalog to be identical in terms of action for me. Symlin is proven to lower post meal bgs more than insulin. Apidra is just a different type of insulin. I'd be more apt to try Symlin before changing insulins. Your best bet is to ask for samples.

Ok, as diabetics, again, we make no insulin (or Type 2's are resistant to it) so you inject your rapid acting insulin (Novolog, Humalog, Apidra, Novorapid) to cover your meal.
