2022年4月22日 · The 4D56 can leak from many, many places, and the area where the oil ends up is not necessarily the source of the leak. Step 1: Clean your damned engine. Steam clean, degreaser, Q-tips, whatever floats your boat, just get the outside spotless.

2020年11月7日 · It's a good question and there are more knowledgeable people here who will hopefully chime in. I have read and heard a diesel engine can go a million miles. The 4D56 is known to go 300,000+ miles before needing an overhaul if maintained well. The heads and turbo are the weak points on the 4D56.

2020年10月7日 · The 4D56 is the name of the OLD Mitsubishi engine that came with your car. After Mitsubishi made that engine for a few years, they sold the design/molds to Hyundai, where they did some more upgrades to it and renamed it the NEW D4BF!!! If you look at a D4BF engine block it still says 4D56 on it, since the mold didn't change.

2022年5月18日 · There are more vacuum lines on this engine than the older 4D56 and D4BF engines (and the engagement of the front axles for 4WD are also vacuum-driven, thus adding more solenoids and lines). Based on the quality of work done previously on this vehicle I must assume that the vacuum lines or the adjustments for the turbo were done wrong.

" @eegii1982, let us know what you are trying to accomplish with your engine. @sk66 removed his so he could get more boost to the engine. These are merely redundant protections in the event your turbo tries pushing beyond 12psi.
