2021年2月19日 · Personally, I have used the .25 WSSM but I have used the 25.06 and the .257 Wby Mag and if the .25 WSSM is in their range great, but... I have used the .243 WSSM for both hunting and LR 1k matches, and it was a dream, it did everything I asked it to do with performance left over.

2013年10月17日 · I thought I read that you can resize any wssm cartridge to 25wssm. Does that mean that I can resize the 270wssm to the 25wssm or the 243 wssm to the 25 wssm? If this is possible which is the best way to go. I currently have a 270 wssm also, so if this can be down sized [ neck ] to fit the 25 it would be easier on me.

2013年4月24日 · The 25 WSSM is DEAD. The 6.5x284 is the complete opposite. There's brass, data, and rifles being made everyday. It will load easier, shoot further and just plan kick the snot out of the 25 WSSM. Try to find a factory rifle or a custom builder in the 25. With that said the 6.5 is a shooter short or long range.

2004年6月26日 · To me, the .25 WSSM looks like a .25/06 that uses the efficiency of the short, wide case advantage to provide .25/06 ballstics with less powder. This should mean slightly less recoil and slightly longer barrel life. I have read about this cartridge a little.

A friend of mine improved it and gets 6.5x55 swede ballistics with less powder and it shoots scary, little groups. I have worked on one 25 wssm thus far and found that while it would get into the mid range 25-06 speeds, it shot much better about 100 fps ...

2008年12月13日 · This version of the 6.5 WSSM is based off the 25 WSSM case so the Redding 25 WSSM bushing die can be used with 6.5MM bushings to size the cases. (I already had the dies from the 25 WSSM barrel.) The necks on the Winchester WSSM cases are really thick from the factory so I always turn them and then anneal them before using them.

2019年9月18日 · I keep thinking about a 6.5 PRC necked down to .25 cal and using that same bullet. It would bring the velocity back up with the bigger case and using the heavier bullet. I can't help but think that the .25 WSSM would drop me too far below that 2900-3000 fps I like with the quarter bore. Just my thoughts is all.
