肺动脉高压是一种严重的疾病，表现为肺血管重塑和右心衰竭，致死率居高不下。尽管临床观察到PH患者的血小板减轻及相关参数与病情严重程度相关，但血小板在此病理状态下的角色尚未被充分理解。以往研究提醒我们，血小板可能通过多种方式影响肺血管的结构，特别是释放生长因子（如PDGF-BB）或参与微血栓形成。近期的新发现则进一步指明，血小板的失常功能很可能是导致PH进展的关键因素。
