Artist Michael Papadakis literally burns his drawings onto a wooden canvas using sunlight. He uses a magnifying glass to refract and reflect sun rays on a very specific spot on the wooden surface.

Some ray diagrams may also show a third ray. Only the person using the magnifying glass can see the image. The image cannot be projected onto a screen because it is a virtual image.
