After months of contentious debates between Multnomah County and American Medical Response, the two have finalized a tentative agreement to address long ambulance response times in the area.

This comes after Multnomah County fined American Medical Response - or AMR - the ambulance company contracted with the county, more than half a million dollars for slow response times in August 2023.

American Medical Response (AMR) said its new hybrid ambulance deployment model is already making improvements in terms of increasing access to care for community members.
