The Zilwaukee Bridge is planned for preventative maintenance starting on April 14 with MDOT giving a look inside the bridge before construction begins.

MARSHALL, Mich. — Starting some time in April, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is going to begin construction on a stretch of Michigan Avenue in Marshall, also known as M-96.

“What we’re going to do is we’re actually going to do a preventative maintenance on the Zilwaukee Bridge,” said Steve Katenhus, the Bay City Transportation Service Centers manager for MDOT.
