In the latest flare-up, a Chinese cargo ship, the Yi Peng 3, has been detained by the Danish coastguard for two days in the Kattegat, a maritime strait off the Nordic country’s coast.

The Danish Navy and the Swedish Coast Guard are monitoring the vessel ... Both locations are in the Swedish economic zone.

On the same day, the Danish armed forces declared their presence near the ship in the waters of the Kattegat Strait.
