PS Plus is soon receiving its first batch of free games for 2025, and here's how much storage space subscribers should set aside for them.

ORIGINAL: PlayStation Plus subscribers are counting down to the reveal of the free PS4 and PS5 games for January 2025. A little later than usual, the PS Plus Essentials will be unveiled by Sony at 4.30pm GMT UK time on the afternoon of January 1.

Sony reveals the first free PlayStation Plus games that users will be able to claim for their digital libraries in 2025.

PlayStation Plus’ free games for January includes Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League a year after the live service shooter’s critically-panned launch. It joins the paid monthly subscription service just in time for players to experience the final season and access the long-requested offline mode.

While the free PS Plus titles for January 2025 have been announced, subscribers will still need to wait until January 7 before the games are available for download. From then on, January 2025's PS Plus games will remain accessible to subscribers until February 3, 2025, so they should have plenty of time to add each game to their library.

PS Plus subscribers can take on the Justice League, satisfy their need for speed, and explore one of the weirdest games of all time this month.

PS Plus has set itself up massively with its impressive Essential game drops, and hopes are high that January 2025 will be able to deliver another great month of free games.
