Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola expects Erling Haaland to be back ‘soon’ after missing the 2-0 loss against Liverpool due to an injury, potentially as early as on Wednesday against Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is unsure if Erling Haaland will be fit to face Tottenham on Wednesday. The striker was missing entirely from the City squad named to face Liverpool on Sunday, having failed to shake off the injury which also saw him sit out the loss to Real Madrid in midweek.

Pep Guardiola admits that he does not know when Erling Haaland will be available again, but hopes that he will play on Wednesday when Manchester City travel to take on Tottenham Hotspur. The Norwegian sat on the bench last week as City were beaten 3-1 at Real Madrid and then was not involved in the squad at all on Sunday as they lost 2-0 at home to Liverpool.
