Having started out with a higher than average unemployment rate, Telford has since witnessed the arrival of major American, European and Japanese businesses: notably Hitachi, Denso, Maxell and Ricoh.

Businesses also heard from Alan Markworth, a senior manager at Telford-based manufacturer DENSO which has been working closely with the college to help create and test some of the new modules.
