The Royal Australian Mint has churned out billions of coins since it opened half a century ago in 1965, a mere year before Australia ditched British pounds and pence for dollars and cents.

Australia Post has released the Men's and Women's Australian Open 2025 $2 coloured coins, just as the centre court action heats up.

Avid coin collectors will be examining their change at the post office throughout January and February as limited edition coins, celebrating the 2025 Australian Open, are released in stores.
