Amit D. Tevar, MD, is the surgical director of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program at UPMC and is certified in multi-organ transplantation and hepatobiliary by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Tevar received his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and completed his residency in general surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine where he served as chief resident. He completed his fellowship in multi-organ transplant surgery at the University of Chicago and the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Tevar’s clinical interests include solid organ transplantation, minimally-invasive, and hepatobiliary surgery.
