However, about 15 minutes from Lake Elmo there is the 1st Kampgrounds of America that ever existed, The company(KOA) was founded by 2 Billings gentlemen and this one is located on the Yellowstone River. I just saw this question and it's probably too late to help you, but there are zero Muskies in Lake Elmo. Also, by most standards it'shard to call ita lake as measures about 300 yards in almost any direction + it has less than 5' of visibility when swimming.
