Dearest Paul. It is great to hear you are going to visit my country, Iran. As for the clothing in Yazd, it is not really cold, light clothes work yet you need warm clothes for the evening. As for people, do not even think about it! So nice and friendly you will be overwhelmed! You only need to see it and believe it, though sometimes how easy is to communicate with people will amaze you. In my town, YAZD, please walk around the Jame Mosque, that is where you will never want to leave! Visit the Art house rooftop and take load of pictures at dusk and dawn.Reserve a room in one of the traditional houses nearby and try camel meat there! Silk road is one of the great options to sleep and dine. What is more, you can arrange to go to other cities near Yazd and visit a great citadel and a holy Zoroastrian shrine in Chek-Chek. Too much to say, but all in all, wear modest clothing and mingle with people. You will certainly love it.
Would two nights be unnecessary to see the sights of Yazd.
