I watched a guided tour and it was very informative. I also think it's very cool that you can get into the castle courtyard for free; you only have to pay to access a tower or the interior. lillylestrange的完整评论

I purchased on arrival. There is a provision to book online for large groups, but it is not really necessary for small groups or individuals. I paid cash but I saw people pay with Visa. There is a parking price of five Euros and that will need to be cash. There are tour guides but they are German. The only exception is at half past one if you prefer an English guide.

There are buses or taxis. Walking is also possible but depends on your fitness and luggage.

We always rent cars because the freedom to explore back raods and off the beat and path hidden gems is much easier. I have spent the majority of my time letting the trip find me versus over planning. I like to see what each day has to offer. Sure I have must see's if in the area but then if I see something that grabs my interest I go with the flow. I am not a big fan of itinerary travel hence I have never booked a trip through a tour. I love Germany and have spent the last three summers exploring the Rhine, Mosel, and Rhone River Valley's. Germany is so rich with culture, history, art, natural beauty I am sure you will not run out of things to do! Enjoy!
