Hi, I am sure we were told they were about 7 - 10 degrees. I was in shorts and a t shirt and felt fine although it was very hot outside so it was a relief. We recently visited the Ramsgate tunnels and were told they were 11 degrees, I though Fort Amherst felt about the same.
I have tunnel tour tickets booked for this Friday. If its raining a lot will I be able to get a refund or transfer it to another date? Thank you

It's an indoor tour - you won't be outdoors getting wet. If you are concerned about seeing the outside areas after the tour I'd ring the cafe/reception and check but the tour is great and …

Our tunnel tour was 2 hours long. For the £7.50 entry charge it's well worth every penny. You can then spend as long as you want before/after looking at the grounds, allotments, old …

Like the answer above..I didn't see any notices and you had best contact the Fort staff to get an answer, however the rest of the fort is open to the public and is free to roam through as they have made a public footpath through the middle of the fort, I can understand the problems if you had to leave your dog in a car in this weather.
Tunnel Tours are available daily. We are currently running our Glimpse of Christmas Past event in December 2024. Standard tunnel tours will resume on 6th January 2025.
