I can now answer my own question after returning from our visit! Unfortunately Verizon cell service does not work in the cabin area nor does it work through most of the park. I could typically get calls to go through, but no internet access. There is free wifi at the visitor center.
I have trying to get one of the cabins for ever but every time I call they are always book then you drive out there an there is know one in the cabins

I am so sorry that you have been unable to get a reservation. Our cabins are extremely popular on weekends and stay booked up. As to the issue of no one in the cabins, many times, our guests vehicles are not at their cabins during the day because they are out enjoying the many opportunities to explore the park (hiking, fishing, golfing, kayaking). We tend to have more vacancies during the week, if you are able to do so. You can also get on our waiting list for the weekend you are interested in and we will call you if there is a cancellation. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
Is there still a roach infestation problem with the cabins. My family always loves to come to VCSP. Beautiful park, nice lakes, great campground. It’s been nearly 10 years, but the couple of times we rented cabins, all during the winter, there were lots of roaches. Now that I have children I would love to bring them there, but the roaches are a major concern. Can you address this question ?

Our cabins are in wooded areas and sometimes roaches seek refuge in buildings during times of cold or drought. If you have any issue with roaches or anything else, please notify the staff immediately. We have a professional pest control contract and can take care of any issues like this. As a routine, we have regular pest inspections and treatment by the exterminator. Please feel free to contact us anytime for questions and concerns. We are looking forward to your next visit.
