There is a long gravel road with tree cover to the estate. You should clear with RV, because there were a couple cargo trucks by the house setting up for a wedding during our visit. The parking is a grassy area with two entrances, so you should be able to pull in one and out the other.
Where is a good place to stay while visiting the plantation? Is downtown Richmond convenient if we will also be visiting Berkley and Shirley Plantations? Thank you. Elaine

If I were you I would visit Tuckahoe first and then take Rte 4 to Williamsburg and visit the other two. There are several B&B's on Rte. 5, but Charles City County is still very rural.
