Beautiful view from the beach but not very clean. Recommend to look at the beach from the Grant Hyatt resort instead for a more comfortable and luxurious experience Radhika A的完整评论

A nice hiking trail, and rugged cliffs, made for some nice photos. A couple was getting married at the end of the beach. Restrooms and free parking. maitaimike2015的完整评论

I understand there is limited parking and everyone seems to advise to arrive early. We are driving to Waimea Canyon in the early morning on a Wednesday and was hoping to stop at Shipwreck Beach and walk a short ways on the trail in the afternoon on our way back to Lihue. Is parking still going to be an issue later in the day?

If there’s no parking just park in the hotel lot, it’s free too just a bit further walk down to the beach!

Hands down, Poipu Beach is a great place to snorkel. The water is clear and shallow and you'll likely see some turtles and perhaps even a sea lion resting on the beach.

Drive past the Hyatt and take the road to the right between the Hyatt and the golf course. Shipwreck Beach parking lot is at the end.
