Am amazing stay at the Matterhorne. We were lucky to catch some great snow around Leichhardt loop and Mt Perisher. No crowds. Diane C的完整评论

Another great week in Perisher. Second week of August and the snow cover was very good and the days were clear and bright. We have chosen Perisher over Thredbo for several years now because we enjoy … Mairwen1的完整评论
We are going to Australia next summer and want to spend some time at Perisher. We could go the last two weeks of July or the last two weeks of August - what would you recommend? Also, I would appreciate any info on how to get there from Sydney without renting a car. I will check out the hotel you mentioned in your review. Thanks!

Last 2 weeks of July is generally more reliable historically for better snow conditions. Perisher has a huge snow making capability, so you will have some slopes to ski in either of the time periods you mentioned even in a bad snow year. Both of your dates mentioned are outside of school holidays so that is a bonus for lower crowds. Note that when you say "Perisher" this also includes access to the Guthega, Blue Cow and Smiggin Holes ski areas. As far as travelling to Perisher without a car, this generally means you will have little option but to stay "on snow" at Perisher or Smiggin Holes or Guthega, which means big bucks for the 2 weeks! The ski tube (train to snow) is 20 minutes DRIVE outside of the main cheaper accommodation town of Jindabyne and not really sure if a regular local bus service runs to the ski tube..As far as getting from Sydney, if money is no object then you can fly Sydney to Cooma regional airport and get a private transfer to snow (1 hour) = big bucks again. Alternatively, fly Sydney to Canberra (1.5hrs) then Coach to snow(2.5hrs) OR Train Sydney to Canberra (4.5hrs) then coach to snow OR Coach all the way from Sydney(7hrs). Have been going to Perisher for 33 years straight but have never tried without a car....good luck.
Hi, how to get there without own transport in early June'15? Coach services only available during peak period.
答:
Yes there is coach services during June even though it's not peak season. They are just not as frequent . As long as you not needing to go without notice frequently . As they go at set …
