Not a great experience , show embarrassingly bad, not much interaction with elephants and their general welfare looked bad.Would not recommend.capitalkid186525的完整评论

I loved the elephant village. I feel like I should have opted for the bath session, their prices are very reasonable. I fed the elephants which is a bit scary since I've never been so close to such b…Maps31324490962的完整评论
I would like to ask why this is still being shown on TripAdvisor when it is widely accepted Riding elephants is cruel. The person who said it was great and the elephants are well looked after obviously didn’t notice the sharp hook in the mahouts hand - a clue. Google Breaking the Spirit to see what these lovely animals go through so you can sit on them. TripAdvisor disgusted with you!

Thanks for your answer. The Elephant Nature Park is a lovely sanctuary where you work alongside the Ellies and observe them but they are never ridden. They are almost all rescued from various places. The trouble is every elephant that gives rides or is in shows may not look badly treated to you but would have gone through Breaking the Spirit which is an horrendously cruel act. People are learning, Thai and tourists but it has a long way to go but unless this cruelty is pointed out no one will learn. I myself did not realise about this cruel act until visiting ENP which shows a film on this Breaking the Spirit to show the problems it causes then focuses on the lucky ones at the sanctuary and the inroads being made. It is run by an amazing Thai lady called Lek and is the way the tourism should be going.
