High-rising cliffs and mountain scenery surround the train along the route to Old Penn Haven. Wildlife is plentiful and you will see hikers and bikers on the rail-trail as well as white water rafters battling the river. During your train ride, you will learn about railroad lore, local wildlife, the history of the anthracite coal region, and the people who launched America into the Industrial Age. The train is filthy. Yiu can barely see out the windows let alone take pictures from the train. The fee for an out and back trip and the fact that the windows are so dirty make this a 0. hmr28的完整评论

This was a nice train ride. About an hour to 70 minutes. Comes back the same way so the second half is a repeat. With the fall colors and cool temperatures, it was a nice seasonal activity. Beach1613的完整评论

Open air is literally open to the air, no windows. If it’s warm, I’d do that. Dome cars having higher seating and it’s like looking out of a cockpit, not as much of a view. We did that. The seats are super cushy (at least on the dome car we were in).
