Looking for an outing for our 4 grands (7 years-3 years) early Monday, February 20 since Oconee schools are not in session. We live on Scenic Hwy 11 near Salem so our plan is to visit Hagood Mill and then on to Twin Falls. I understand that even though nothing is going on at the Mill that we can tour around and see the buildings. Also, we would like to have a picnic there or at Twin Falls. Are grills available?

There is a picnic table at Hagood, but don't recall about grill at either location - would plan on pre made sandwiches instead.

Hello, I am the volunteer miller at the mill. My replay is probably way too late, but the answer is no, no charge for this sort of thing. You should call ahead and get the site manager to tell you what is going on, and you tell him what you want to do. Get it "reserved" so to speak.
