Hello. My wife does not ski. She stays in the lodge and does her puzzle books and people watches etc. Since we've had two occasions in the last year in which she had no place to hang out I have to ask before we make the trip, are there reasonable places for her to stay and be comfortable while I ski? The mountain is projected to stay open until April 15th this year. Considering that today (Feb. 6th), only 50% of lifts were open, in March/April there will likely be less than 50% open. Plus, it …
The mountain is projected to stay open until April 15th this year. Considering that today (Feb. 6th), only 50% of lifts were open, in March/April there will likely be less than 50% open. Plus, it doesn't seem like Gore makes a lot of their own snow, so without the cold and natural snow, ski conditions won't be at their best.

We barely had any lines at all. We were there during the bomb-cyclone, which I guess kept people away. We had the mountain to ourselves!! It was amazing.
Best hotel/resort to stay @ with young kids (4 & 6)? Close to mountain, but also town. Ice skating or extra activities would be a bonus! Thank you :)

Unfortunately there are no hotels that are family friendy with other activities in the region. You will have to travel back to the Lake George region where they have an indoor water park …
Unfortunately there are no hotels that are family friendy with other activities in the region. You will have to travel back to the Lake George region where they have an indoor water park and hotel complex...Gore is mainly a day trip area with a number of cabins/ski houses nearby to rent in the surrounding communities.
