There is no public service "door to door" to the Farnsworth house. The Amtrak rails can get you from Chicago to downtown Plano which is about 4 miles or so away. It is fairly easy drive by car from Chicago to the Farnsworth house, though. There are some tourist groups in Chicago that bring buses full of people from Chicago directly to the Farnsworth house during the summer, though. You might want to call the Farnsworth house center in Plano for more information.
