First of all, let's begin with the common ground that salvation in Christ is that which unites us and this conversation should not divide us. With that in mind, what I teach is that science and religion are NOT mutually exclusive. The history of science is that we were searching to better understand the nature of creation. Most of humanity has forgotten that. When science challenges dogma, religious institutions often resort to persecution. Think Galileo. Most people do not know that Charles Darwin was IN FACT a very devout Christian. He struggled mightily with what he was observing and what he knew from Genesis. I also teach that scriptures provided explanations in ways that were in language that was understandable to those of the communities at the time. Four to six thousand years ago, people had no language to describe the concept of DNA, quantum mechanics, string theory, basic astronomy, or the miniscule part that our entire solar system occupies in the universe. Also, please do not forget that 2000 years ago, it was blasphemy to affirm salvation for gentiles who did not follow Talmudic Law.

There is an elevator.. It is behind the desk of the volunteer. The longest walk will be getting to the building from the parking lot. It will be worth the effort.
