The reserved sections were in the balcony, which surrounds the open floor. It is possible they add temporary chairs for some events, but not the night I was there.
I think the appropriate attire will vary based on the artist performing. As long as you aren’t exposing anything that shouldn’t be exposed, you should be fine.
