The Barbados Wildlife Reserve is located in across from the Farley Hill National Park in the northern parish of St. Peter where you can observe a variety if animals as they roam freely in a beautiful mahogany forest. Here you have a unique opportunity to stroll freely through the Reserve watching the animals at close range and in their own natural environment. There are few cages and the animals can be observed as they eat, play and interact with the other animals.

Amazing to see the monkey feeding! Don’t miss the opportunity to see this. It was at 11a and 2p when we were on the island and it was a highlight to see this. Cost $15/person in American dollars. Eve…Travis T的完整评论

Fascinating day!!! Great place to see the Green Monkeys!!! They are fed by the reserve at 2pm (I think!) and deer, monkeys and tortoise all mix to eat! There's a nice little coffee shop/restaurant wh…591LisaW591的完整评论
Does the Barbados monkey reserve sell individual tickets, or do you have to be with an excursion group? Do they only let a set amount of visitors in? Our cruise sold out of this excursion, so we are thinking of renting a car/driver for the day. I don’t want to waste my time driving all the way there just to get turned away because they are at capacity. Can anyone help? Thank you!!!

They sell individual tickets. My experience, they let in people as they arrive, with little restrictions. It is a very nice place to relax for a few hours. The monkeys make the visit worth while alone. Try to make it before 14:00, where the feeding take place. Enjoy and know you support something special.

It’s quite a trek as it’s in the other side of the island. If you don’t mind shelling out for it (which I would recommend because figuring out their bus system isn’t the easiest on a tight schedule) there are many taxis waiting near the ports. It’s possible there may be a shuttle service, but we stayed on the island so I’m not positive.
Hi, Lee. What would you like to know about this attraction? How do you get there from the cruise ship? How much does it cost? Is there lunch available?

Hi, Aneta. There is a small cafeteria offering simple but tasty sandwiches. We went from Batscheba by bus (heading to Speightstown) and asked the driver to stop by Wildlife Reserve. There is a bus stop anyway. You can always check the bus schedules at transportboard .c o m section route-finder where you find the detailed route with map of each bus line. The standard bus fare in Barbados is BDS$2. This is the equivalent of US$1, and we paid also in USD with no problem. Prepare exact change however! You can always use taxi but we preferred to travel "local" :)
