Brian Herritt, M.D., was born in Oklahoma City. He attended undergraduate at the University of Oklahoma, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. He continued on to medical school at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Herritt completed his residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. After completing residency, he chose to do a Fellowship in bariatric surgery at the University of Missouri. In Dr. Herritt’s time in residency, he was exposed to a large array of surgical specialties but had a particular affinity for surgical weight loss and decided to complete additional training in bariatric surgery.
