You can get tickets on line which are cheaper (oztix) then you have to take them to the merchandise van next to the information center to get your badge which lets you into the races. The town comes alive about a week before the races.
We were planning to hire a small 2 berth Campervan, travelling from Victoria, to attend the races in 2019. We’ve hit a hurdle as everywhere we’ve inquired, in regards to hiring a vehicle, doesn’t allow travel to the Birdsville Races. Has anyone got any ideas or knows of any companies that will allow us to hire a vehicle?

Tickets are available at the entrance to the races and there are currently 2 day passes still available online. There will most likely be fresh bread available.
