I am hoping to get to Bang Saen in the evening (flight will arrive from Chiang Mai) around 8.30pm . Anyone know if they are indeed any buses in the evening. Everything i am finding online seems to say they end quite earlier. As it is just an hour away any idea what the cost of a taxi might be? once again i had a look online but i saw such a variety trying to decide if worth attempting to get there that night or not?

I agree with Vince M - it would be better to get a hotel near the airport (there are lots of inexpensive ones that will pick you up from the airport) and travel the next day. If you do decide to travel to Bang Saen directly, make sure to have dinner first - most, if not all, restaurants in Bang Saen will be closed when you get there. The taxi/car ride is about an hour and a half from the airport (definitely not an hour!). If you hire a car and driver online, it will cost 2300 to 2500 baht.
