The ‘Atelier’ was built in the 1930s in the Amsterdam School architectural style. The movement’s aim was to create unity and vision to its built environment; both in the exterior and the interior of the building. The structures are characterized by decorative soft red brick stone-work, window treatments and corner towers or spires. Ideally located in the hamlet of Westenschouwen ‘The Atelier’ is 550 meters from the beach and 3km from the centre of Haamstede The house has three bedrooms; a small single bedroom downstairs, upstairs off the landing is a small single (both with 80 x 190 cm beds) and further up is the double bedroom with a Euro king bed (180 x 200 cm). There are washbasins in each room and a separate shower room on the landing and the WC is downstairs. The living room has cable TV, and the study a fireplace. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a separate dining room that opens up to a private terrace with garden furniture and a pond, perfect for the long summer evenings with the sun in the NW.
